The Elections Office is committed to community service and voter education. One way that we accomplish this is through speeches and presentations to community organizations.
If you have a meeting coming up and would like an informative and entertaining program, we have a variety of topics available which we will format to your specific needs.
Our Classic Topics:
- Looking Ahead - Polk County's upcoming elections
- Voting Trends - Who's voting and who's not, how does Polk County compare? How new election laws may effect you?
- Joining the Team - Helping out on Election Day to raise funds for your club
- Demonstration of Polk County's Voting Equipment - Get a "hands-on" look at your voting system
Student Programs:
- Vote In Honor of A Veteran - A Veteran uses past experiences to express the importance of voting to young adults.
- C.A.R.E. (Citizens Acting Responsibly Everyday) - An interactive program which teaches what it means to be a good citizen and why it is important for students to C.A.R.E. about voting.
